We believe that access to knowledge and opportunities can empower more women to take active roles in the WordPress ecosystem, creating a more inclusive and diverse community.
A one month experience for women to connect with WordPress in nature
We are dedicated to fostering strong connections: internally among 5 RuralWO residents to cultivate a sense of belonging and mutual growth, and externally with other WordPress communities to strengthen the overall ecosystem.
At the same time, we embrace rural hacking, using real web design challenges while contributing to rural development.
RuralWO is a blend of learning, impact, and community-building.
What we offer
- Mentoring program: Engage with the Rural Hackers team and the WordPress community for 4 mentorship, each offering 1 hour of personalized guidance.
- Community-driven support: connect with a network of innovators who can help bring your ideas forward.
- Open-Source project: your project will be developed with an open-source mindset, meaning that it will not only benefit you but also belong to the community, allowing for future improvements and collaborations beyond the residency.
- Free Accommodation: enjoy a shared, comfortable living space at Anceu Coliving, where creativity and collaboration thrive.
- Financial aid: a grant of 500€ to support your living expenses and help you focus fully on your project.
